Hasweb Hosting
Hey, I'm the first to need advice.
Go me. So, I'm looking into www.hasweb.com for hosting. I'm thinking the $70/year plan, with 1GB of space and 25GB of bandwidth. This seems almost too good to be true. Is it? There's cheaper plans out there that are almost DEFINATELY too good to be true. But...so tempting. PS, I need a good general-purpose domain name. Basic use will be for email (I'm sick of yahoo) and hosting mp3's of my band/mixing/engineering/production projects. A glorified resume, if you will. I'd prefer it to be under 8 letters long, and I don't want to have to spell it everytime I give out my email address. Oh, and my mother has to be able to email me Cool. Rock on. MPEDrummer |

I've never heard of Hasweb, so caveat emptor, or however that was spelled. All I can say is that I use HostRocket, they have a similar deal, and they deliver. The tech support has always responded to my problems within a day, even the dumb stuff like when I erased my forum. HostRocket is at:
http://www.hostrocket.com I wrote http://theroseking.net It's small, and not very interesting, but it was fun for me to write. Course, I bragged to my girlfriend about how totally awesome my numerical differentiation program was (it quickly itterates both the optimum step size AND upper limit of an infinite integral), so hey. |

$70.00 a year is awsome.
I just got a host with unlimited space and bandwidth! $20 a month. But I live is a small town and our local server only has maby 20 sites on it and it is huge. Hopefully I'll fill it up. So if you need hosting look to small towns for your hosting. P.S. The small town is Rapid City, SD and the server is RapidNet
