dvi port on laptop
well my laptop has a dvi port on the back of it. well i bought a dvi to vga port that i used to use with my old desktop and it wont fit on there. Is there diffrent types of dvi ports?

I believe there is such a thing as a mini-DVI port. Not too sure though. You can probably find adaptors for it.
-- edit -- Is it a powerbook? The mini-DVI seems to be a mac product. Mini-DVI to VGA In case you wanted to buy one.

this is the same size as the normal dvi port......the little flat prong just aint as wide as the one i have. maybe i should recharge my digitals batterys and take a pic of it.

there are 3 types of DVI.
DVI-I integrated, supports both analog transmition and digital transmition DVI-D digital only DVI-A analog only here is a nice link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dvi
