dvi port on laptop
well my laptop has a dvi port on the back of it. well i bought a dvi to vga port that i used to use with my old desktop and it wont fit on there. Is there diffrent types of dvi ports?

So the dongle won't fit on the laptop? Are they both male or both female??? |
I believe there is such a thing as a mini-DVI port. Not too sure though. You can probably find adaptors for it.
-- edit -- Is it a powerbook? The mini-DVI seems to be a mac product. Mini-DVI to VGA In case you wanted to buy one. |
this is the same size as the normal dvi port......the little flat prong just aint as wide as the one i have. maybe i should recharge my digitals batterys and take a pic of it.

there are 3 types of DVI.
DVI-I integrated, supports both analog transmition and digital transmition DVI-D digital only DVI-A analog only here is a nice link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dvi |
