disabled run and control panel
well im currently toying with the privelages for WIN2K Pro and i disabled my RUN command and my CONTROL PANEL....i tried all the keyboard shortcuts to access them but no luck.... any help would be greatly appreciated oh and one more thing does anyone know any sites that measure bandwith usage on a network? Thanks very much

If you're running Win2k you should have an additional administrator account to use, just log into there and reinstate priveleges. If you were already in there, then naughty, naughty boy. Use tweakUI and see if that'll do it and take it as a lesson learned.
Always have a seperate account with a secure password and full priveleges, especially if you're messing around.

Have you tried seeing if control panel still shows up under my computer (maybe in an explorer window)? How about trying to go to c:\windows (or winnt)\system32\cmd.exe ?
The last possible thing i can think of is seeing if you go into task manager and doing a new task to see if you can run cmd.exe or maybe secpol.msc (local security policy). |

an easy trick is to hit F1 and use windows inbuilt help to search for control panel. It should give you a link you can use to open up control panel. Not sure if this little trick worked in 2000 but i'm sure it did in older windows versions
