Video Capture Cards

So I'm looking to get a video capture card, but I can't seem to find anything that will work. What I want is a card (preferrably PCI, though a USB2 would be acceptable) that can connect to RCA and S-video and display what it's capturing live. Most of the ones I see with RCA only record video, which won't help.

Basically, I want to use a monitor as a TV to save space (no, no TVs as monitors. Blah to that resolution). Is it possible?

Almost any tuner should let you view as well as record.

?

I use the ATI Theater 550 Pro

A decent selection can be found here, at Newegg:

and here, also at Newegg:

If you have a tv tuner, but you can't view tv on your pc, then something is set up wrong. That defeats the entire purpose of having a tv tuner.

The cards that include connections for s-video AND RCA are a bit more expensive than the most basic tv tuners, but you can hook up the ol' PS2, TV, XBox, Cable/sattelite, Camcorder or whatever else you desire.

Ahhhhhh that's my problem.

I was looking at "capture" cards. What I needed to be looking for were "tuner" cards. I knew there was something I was missing. Thanks, man!

Canopus. Their encoder rocks.
