Active X vs. Java? Confused.
I am trying to use my lame webpage skillz. When making rollovers using ImageReady it uses Active X. Right? B/c when ever I view it in explorer I get the stupid Active X warning... :P But Firefox is fine. I am sure that most of my customers will have EI and could get worried about the warnings??
Is there a real difference in the approach for rollovers in regards to Active X vs. Java? I wouldn't know where to start with the Java. Altough most of the new programs will do all of that for you I haven't put the time into figuring out which ones will. Well, dazed and Confused... Cheers! |
Move to Tilted Programming?

Couldn't you do rollovers in Javascript? A friend of mine just flipped his homepage from Java rollovers to Javascript rollovers, and we're very glad we don't have to wait for the frikkin Java to load each time we hit his site.

Yeah, Javascript is always the better choice for little things like this. Go that route if you can.
