Clearing Google searches

... as in "How do I do it?"

I've cleared cookies and the cache, and searches still autocomplete.

Please don't tell me to "clear forms" in Firefox, because I've got a lot of online payments set up.

I searched, but couldn't find this topic anywhere else.

Thanks.

Selective deletion, that's a tough one. The data is stored in your profile, in the file formhistory.dat; however, that isn't hand-editable file. Deleting that file would remove all autocompletes, but you said you don't want that. The only other way is to kill them off one by one; highlight the autocomplete item, and type Shift-Delete to remove.

Actually, that's doable.

Thanks--I'm happy.
