So I need new speakers..

I need some new speakers, preferably 2.1, I don't have the need / place for a huge surround sound setup, and I'd like them not too be too expensive.

Also no excessively bassy speakers, my friend has some, forget the brand but they have bass out the ass even on the lowest setting, it's rediculous..

Thanks for the reccommendations!

My brother and my friend have Bose speakers and they sound amazing. Logitech is good as well as Altec Lansing. I can't recommend any models, but those three companies seem to produce the best sound from what I've experienced.

Bose if you can afford 'em

Lansing also, as mentioned above.

I'd recommend soe of the setups that Phillips and Sony do - they know about sound engineering, so you have a cance of beig able to listen to it without cringing.

Klipsch is also a very good speaker company - I love their 5.1 speakers (need to buy a set when I get money), but even their 2.1 setup is amazing sound quality. They are a bit expensive, though.

I have tried Klipsch, Alter Lansing, Bose and Boston Accoustics. I love them all. They all sound absolutely great.

I would get on newegg.com and look at the offerings by these companies listed above and make your selection from there.
