New Virus on ABC news
Charles Gibson said of Win2K
".... this most recent virus attack reminds us all jus how vulnerable even the most secure of operating systems can be." I almost rolled off the couch laughing when he said this. The report on the "new virus" was almost completely useless, so if there is any info about it, feel free to discuss it here. At the end of the broadcast, Gibson made a note that all of the computers at ABC crashed today (not sure if it was related to the virus) and no one knew why. The final comment was something to the effect of: "no matter how much you swear, curse, and yell at a computer, it won't do you any good" .. poor guy. Then I thought of Konane and pwned.nl and laughed again :D |
HAHA! PWNED!
Man, this is why I absolutely love using Mac OS X. I'm not vunerable to your Windoze viruses. I can download all the crap I want, and no viruses. hahaha... i was just watching pwned.nl today. |
Seems CNN in NY and Atlanta got hit as well. Such big news CNN felt the need to have it on for over an hour, numerous people talking about it and one guy saying it is best to turn off your computer and go and take a walk or watch TV, and come back to it in a day or so, funniest bit of news in quite some time.

No doubt this will make iFilm. Ohhhhhhh, Peter, why did you have to leave us? |
The sad part is the guy who gave that advice was some sort of technology correspondent for CNN, not too sure what job requirements were for him to get the job but I reckon a monkey could have got it if that was his advice to people.

SBC on the West Coast and their connections to Korea and Asia got hit big time today too. Two of my VPs were stranded without any cell phone or land phone access on their way to a meeting in Seoul, and one emailed me ordering that I had "better get some answers fast." Yeah right! Ha! All I could do email our SBC rep & she said all their switches & their entire network was down nationally. She said this virus also hit Intel, CNN and GE's networks today and that everyone was scrambling....esp. on the east coast. Funny - but the TV networks didn't say much at all tonight (other Charlie Gibson's comments that some of the stations had computers that crashed and people couldn't work.)
Wonder what tomorrow will bring? |
