Ipod Problem
Hey... I just updated my ipod. and now it says to unplug from usb and plug into the AC charger....but I don't have one and now i can't use my 'pod. What do I do?
|
Didn't your iPod come with a AC charger?
I take it you're charging thru the USB, right? My best guess is to eject it from itunes, but leave it plugged in to the usb. If it has the battery charging animation, it should be charging. |
I can't access it on iTunes. The only thing on the screen is an animation of plugging it into the wall lol.
|
that means the battery is too low to do anything else. I agree with sadistikdreams, just go get your AC adapter for now.

it is a powered usb connection. I updated and after the update it said i needed to reflash it via using the ac cable.

Are you positive you don't have an AC charger? It looks like this:

I had the same problem with mine... (2nd hand ipod, no charger). Luckily it accepted the car port FM transmitter thingy as a charger.
Worst case scenario is you're out $20 getting a new charger. |
You have to be plugged in to a power source because just in case you don't have enough battery for whatever reason, while the firmware is being updated, if the iPod should lose power, the firmware could never be restored or accessed again, thus making your iPod useless.

If the things suggested here don't work, try poking around on http://www.ipodlounge.com. The answer is sure to be there.
