When .netserver ( i think thas what they renamed it) was in beta rc2 i was a beta tester. i was 17-19 at the time. was anyone else here a beta tester (and i mean straight from microsoft beta tester)

That was the only thing that i ever beta tested
-and the truth is i just used it as an os, and never reported any bugs

Was anyone else here a beta tester, and if so for what? I hope to get to do vista rc2 also when it comes out ill post the link to sign up to try it

I did some Beta testing for Mechwarrior 4, SideWinder Joystick and this hardware that I can't remember its name but it never successfully took off in the market.

I beta tested SP2 for XP and a participated in a bunch of open betas for MMORPGs like Lineage 2 and Ragnarock. I also got my hands on two alpha builds of Longhorn, and I wasn't impressed. Then again, that is why they call them alphas.

I beta tested Odigo (the IM suite) for 1.x or 2.x I can't remember. I had a low (5190) UID number, that is, before they wiped the database again.

Funny thing is, no one has taken it upon themselves to demystify the protocol. The program kicked major ass and is still out, but not very popular.

I can log into beta.microsoft.com and see about 20 different products being tested at the moment.

Currently, I have only signed up for Microsoft System Center: Data Protection Manager 2006 and Microsoft Windows 2003 R2. I see an area for the Office 12 stuff, but only DOC files at the moment and no release stuff yet.

I get stuff in the mail all the time from MS. Licensed copies of stuff, Beta stuff, T-shirts, or whatever. I always found it kind of odd that I do this for them, but in the irony that I am such an open source and Linux advocate.
