[Apache]Service installation issue
I have attempted to install the Apache web server on my Win XP Pro machine, so I can use some Perl scripts I have programmed. The documentation I read says when you install Apache for "All Users, on Port 80, as a service" that the Apache service is installed for you automatically. That didn't happen; my Apache Service Monitor says that no services have been installed.
So I entered this command to try and install the service manually, and here is what I got: C:\Apache2\bin>apache -k install <OS 10048>Only one usage of each socket address(protocol/network address/port) is normally permitted. :make_sock could not bind to address 0.0.0.0:80 no listening sockets available, shutting down Unable to open logs I saw this same message when Apache was being installed. How do I make Apache happy so it will install the service? If you don't know, but know a good message board I could post this in, also let me know that! Thanks so much! |
