Burning legal mp3s?

What do you guys use? I have a bunch of mp3s of my cousin's band and I want to drop them onto a CD. Everything I've tried so far has had major problems, is slow(3+ hours to burn a cd), or only lets you burn 1 or 2 tracks.

you sure it's not the cd burner and not necessarily the program?

Yeah, I have a brand new dvd/cd burner... I can burn a dvd faster than a cd with the programs I have...

Why would you be concerned about the legality of burning an MP3 of a band that isn't signed to a major label? The program doesn't know the difference.

Whatever problem you are having, it has to do with the program.

Sounds like the drivers for your burner might not be up to spec - that will throw off any programme that you try to burn with.

I use Windows Media player to burn mix CDs for the car, and it works fine - at 8x speed generally. Much faster and it tends to coasterise them.

I've never had any issues with nero. Make sure You have the settings right. WMP is the devil. Stay away from it.

WMP works just fine for me when burning music. I tend to use Nero, though, just for the complete functionality that it has instead of just music.

Even if it does end up being your burner drivers, I'd still highly suggest you shell out the cash for Nero - It's excellent.

iTunes is free, and simple, if you don't want to deal with other stuff.

It was probably said so that he/she wouldn't get messages like "Your won't get any help with illegal activities here." That is to say, it was just a safety measure.

Another thought, it is possible that the conversion from MP3 to WAV is going slowly, for some reason. Perhaps if you did the conversion first, then burned the WAVs to CD, it might go more smoothly.

Maybe you have conflicting drivers. Do you have a setup like Roxio and another burning software like Nero? Sometimes when you have multiple programs, they don't like to play nice. Roxio seems especially bad.
