Graphic cards and game compatability
I have Dell Inspiron 5100 laptop, with an integrated 32 meg Radeon 7500c graphics card.
Now, I would really like to play Guild Wars on this computer, but the min graphics requirement for the game is a 32 meg Radeon 8500. My laptop meets all the other system requirements. So how would this affect my laptops ability to play the game? I realized all the graphics would be at the lowest settings, but would it cause the game to crash? Would it cause the game to "jump", would it play the game at all?

If it played, it would be slow, choppy, and probably not enjoyable to play. And the minimum requirements are just that, minimum. Desireable requirements are even higher.

You'd be very lucky if Guildwars would even start (it would probably drop right back to desktop). Unfortunately for you, video card upgrades in a laptop are next-to-impossible.

I wouldn't be so sure. A friend of mine has an IBM laptop with a Radeon 7000 mobility (64 mb? Not sure) and it runs games decently. Don't get me wrong; I don't enjoy playing games on that machine, but they still work. The only things that are truly unplayable are FPS games.
