Good CRT?

Hello.

My CRT recently died a horrible death. After a lot of flashing screens and weird noises, it's gone. It was a Samsung 7e, which I've had for quite a long time.

So I've decided to get another replacement CRT. I'm looking for a larger size (19 inch or larger) and if it had dual monitor inputs (for my desktop & laptop) that would be better. But i'm not sold on that second one, as a KVM switch may be cheaper.

What do people recommend?
thank you.

I have 2 samsung syncmaster 950p's that I love, they are big, but ultra clear and bright.

If they sell them anywhere, a 24" wide screen 10:6 SGI monitor is fantastic. It's like...sex for the computer.

ViewSonic Graphics series kicks ass. Sitting with a 21" G220f at the moment.

I thought Sony got out of the CRT biz?

Anyway, my art department after much serious debate went with the LaCie Electron Blues.

Otherwise, get a used Sony on craigs list if you are in an urban area. They go for about $50 there. If you live in NYC, PM me. My company is throwing a few out...

THank you very much for the offer, but I'm in Canada so that won't work.

Is there not a problem with purchasing via Craig's in the sense of a warranty? Same with many Ebay purchases?

Ebay is much safer than Craigs List. You get a seller rating system, many sellers offer a warranty of sorts...(no DOA, some give 30, 60, 90 days, some new items are covered by original warranty)

Some of the people are on craigs list are a little shady. That being said, my friend swears by it.
