new Netscape 8.0
before I download it does anyone know if it is as good as they say, truly combining IE and Firefox?
I have issues with Netscape last time I downloaded I ended up with weatherbug and all kinds of little "extra" add-ons I didn't want. I like netscape as a browser but will not use nor download it if I get all these add-ons. |
it's by AOL, no thanks. AOL has a knack for bundling more than what you want with their products, ie. what you mentioned about weatherbug, etc.
I'll stick with my opensource Firefox. |
I grabbed netscape when they released it a few weeks ago, I do like some of the features in it, but I do not use it very much and should probably uninstall it to be honest.

I tried the public beta and was thouroughly unimpressed. I didnt like the user interface at all, although I didnt look too hard for ways to change it. Also all the bundled crap was annoying. I'll stick with Firefox, using IE as necessary.
|
I also heard that this can cause normal IE to break, or not be upgraded. Something like that.
Give it a shot if you want, but maybe create another user account and install it in there first (assuming you can install it in the user's space only, and don't need admin) ;) |
