BugMeNot.com
I'm sure some of you guys know about this, just saw it posted elsewhere not long ago and had never heard of it, pretty damn useful, allows you to get login info for webpages that require registration, so you can view those articles that ask you to register. Thought some people might find it neat, and I believe there is even a Firefox plugin for it as well.

Bugmenot is fantastic.
I read a lot of internet news and such at work and even though it's free, it's a hassle to have to sign in just to read the rest of the damn story. I contribute regularly to the site with logins.

Same here. I use it and if I come across a site that doesn't have a login, I create one, give it my spam addy, and then add it to bugmenot.
There is an awesome extension for firefox (assuming this is the way you found it anyway) that you just right click and there is a bugmenot option to fill in the login form. Good stuff! //edit: I need to read, the origional post mentioned the extension I need to goto bed!

Found that spamhole.com also is good for temporary e-mail addresses. I use it when the site registration starts to go ask for checking off for more than 3 sponsors. Go ahead spammers send e-mail to that e-mail address.
After creation the e-mail address lasts 2 hours then gets deleted. |

I just wanted to let everyone know that bugmenot now works for Firefox 1.5.0.1 .
The extension will fill in the fields for you. I hated manually typing in the info from bugmenot.com while the extension got the bugs worked out with the new release. |

Im sorry, Im going to disagree with ya'll this site makes me sick. It has allowed nothing but spammers to anonymously repeatedly attack my wedding message board and flood it with sick disgusting "porn" and other stuff thats equally disturbing. Bad thing was I didnt even know it existed at the beginning, of course once I did I could ban the usernames it was using.
Some people might find good in it, but personally I think its a place for the adults who never advanced past high school antics to wreak havoc on other people just for their kicks

-Inigo Montoya Seriously, that is not at all the intended purpose of bugmenot. Remember, for it to provide usernames to the masses, someone would have had to sign up for your system and then post the username/password pair to bugmenot. The same could be done by posting the username/password on any forum, if perhaps a bit less conveniently. Unless your guestbook is a really happening place - and I mean in a big scale - I do think it's odd you're being targeted from bugmenot. I'd suspect one or a couple nuts. Time to scan your logs for anything in common among the abused signups.

That sucks that people are doing ShaniFaye, but like everyone else said, that's not the purpose of BugMeNot at all. Personally, I use it bypass the logins on some newspapers that require a login. It's pretty useful for that since I don't want to go to the trouble of registering just to read a single article.
