Which laptop to buy?

Hi all. I'm looking to get a Dell laptop but I just don't know which one to get. I was looking at the Inspiron 6000, 9300, and 700m. All of them have relatively same features: 2GHz Pentium M, 60-100GB hard drive, burner/dvd-rom combo, 512 DDR ram, XP pro or Media Center Edition, wireless LAN, etc. The problem is I just dont know what size display to get. The 9300 is a 17 inch widescreen, the 6000 is a 15.4 inch widescreen, and the 700m is a 12.1 widescreen; each laptop getting progressively smaller and lighter. The baseball draft is coming up and I need a computer to take on the road with me to maily just surf the net and talk on AIM and maybe play a few games. I think I'm leaning towards the 6000 or 700m, but just can't make up my mind. Any input would be appreciated. Oh, also, they're all relatively around the same price range ($2000 with warranties, etc), so price doesn't matter. Thanks in advance.

in my experiancelighter is almost always better. Nothing is worse than lugging something heavy around. I've seen the 700m and i would definately go with that.

I have a Latitude D800 with a 15.1 inch screen. It suits me just fine. To me, anything larger is just too heavy and big.

Also, make sure you get the 60gig 7200rpm harddrive for the laptop. I believe that is the only size that they sell at that speed. You'll be glad you got the faster drive.

I kinda have to agree with the others and say go as light as possible (since money doesn't matter and they're about the same in capability), although it'd probably be good to get a good balance of screen size and weight. I'd say go with the 6000 as a good balance, unless you're big on graphics, then go with the 9300 for its larger screen.

I'm going to one of the Dell Kiosks in the local mall to go check em all out and see which one I like better. Right now I'm leaning towards the 6000.

so after coming back from the Dell place I think I'm going to get the 700m. For what Im going to be using it for I think its the best option. Plus, the screen is absolutely amazing. There was a HD video playing on it and it look beautiful. Also, its really light and compact...I also think that I'll be able to adjust to the keyboard pretty quick. It doesnt seem that much smaller than a normal one
