Help with Nero/InCD
I have Windows 98 with a Yamaha CRW3200E CD-R, CD-RW burner I ninstlled a year or so ago. The other day my "E" drive doesn't recognize some of my CD-RW discs. It tells me there isn't a disc loaded. Some of my CD-RW discs will format with Nero's InCD just fine while others won't load. Any ideas. I'm not hte sharpest pencil in the box when it comes to computers so type slow so I can follow along and understand. Modo

I'm inclined to say some of your cd-rw's are simply f'd.
did they *used* to work? do they have any scratches on them? could your burner be dirty? in other words, check physical problems first.

Sin: Thanks for the ideas. Yes they used to work. No they aren't scratched. (always kept in cases. My new CD-RW's work or are recognized by the In-CD program. I hadn't thought about cleaning the CD drive. I split the cases and clean out the fuzz and dust about every 6 months but I haven't taken that drive out and messed with it. I'll try Thanks! Modo
