Installing Solaris 10, any advice?
Hello. I just downloaded and created cd's for the new Solaris 10 release, and I'm going to install it on my machine. Has anyone had any experience with it that they can give me advice from? How did your own installation go, are you happy with it, etc?

I'm assuming you are talking X86 install... if the earlier solaris installs are anything to go by, check the hardware compatibility list for your bits and pieces before you do anything - Solaris 8 was *hopeless*, Solaris 9 was better - I have also downloaded 10, but don't have a free machine to put it on yet...

I haven't installed Solaris on x86 since Solaris 7, but like spindles said, make sure to check the compatibility list. Let us know how it goes though, I am going to want to check it out as soon as I get a free machine.
