Internet (ethernet perhaps) question.
I've got a quick question. I recently formatted my harddrive and put the same windows (xp pro) on it that I always have, but for some reason this time once I get my internet settings to where the internet works, it doesn't get saved after I restart my computer. Each time I restart, I have to undo, and then re-do the settings so I can get my internet to work again.
Has anyone heard of this, and if so, any remedies? I'd appreciate any input as it's quite a pain in the ass. Thanks.

Could you be a little more specific? Such as, what type of internet connection you have, the cable type, does it recognize your ethernet card, are there any settings that do carry over?
In the interim, one thing that you could try is to go into your device manager and uninstall your ethernet card completely and have XP reinstall the device, also check for updated card drivers and see if that helps with the condition.
