How do I make it so winzip doesn't automatically open zip files after I download them off the net?

dont tell them to open...

it shouldnt run them automatically unless you pick open from internet instead of save...

Change the .zip association in windows prefrences. or right click a zip file, choose "open with..." and choose the blank space instead of a program name, thus diss-assscoiating zips from any given program.
