PDF,Quark,and Illustrator Question
Here is the deal... I have to edit a medical chart that is currently in PDF format. The Chart was originally made with Quark then converted to PDF. Nobody had access to the original file, nor do I have Quark to work with. My Problem is that when I import the pdf into Illustrator the text and check boxes dont line up properly. I'm thinking that this problem occurs during the import What Can I do to properly import it? What program would work best?
Its also saying that I don't have the necessary fonts. I've done some searching and found most of them, but I still get the error that I don't have the proper fonts installed. |
No hope. Recreate it in Illustrator.
You wouldn't be able to open the pdf in Quark anyways. You could import the PDF in Photoshop and make it a piece of art, but it sounds like you're wanting to edit it a little and this would make it difficult and probably unsightly. Let me know if you need any help. |
Try exporting from Acrobat as an AI file again. You might also try simply slicing up in Illustrator and moving things where you want them.
