ARGH! where can i download ASTOUND?!
yea. i'm looking for astound presentations 8-trial version, yet when i go to the main site, and try to download, there's an error. i have a bad feeling that genesyst, the parent company discontinued the product, cause i went to cnet and such and no luck there either.
astound is like an advanced but simple multimedia presentation program. so basically you dont need to know how to program, but you can tweak a timeline, entrance times, sounds, buttons, and such. its kindof a spinoff of powerpoint, but 10x better in that astound is less formal with diagrams and stuff. would anybody know of a program that doesnt require significant learning but is like an advanced wizard prog they could direct me to? or even better.. can hook me up with astound? ive looked around, and some sites said corel's presentations was much better. downloaded all 170megs of it on 56k only to find out its not the type of prog im lookin for. I need something that utilizes buttons to stop/start music, jump to slides/pages, has like a time line thing to time entrances, kewl transitions and the works. not a slide presentation at all, but something more interactive. i'd really appreciate some help. thanks |
i can tell you where to purchase it, pricewatch but please don't ask for an expensive program like this for free. I'm sure kazza or IRC can provide the answers you seek.
As for a program, is there a way you could simply use a flash macro that loads a sound and image variable while using the default sound macros for creating a slider. yes it a bitch, but if you did it once with variables, you could simply load any sound and image you wished by placing them in the expected vairiable folder. Flash has all the other feature you need if you can figure how to incorporate the sound sliders. HTH |
thanks for the reply..
btw. jus sayin that im just looking to download a trial version being that it wasn't available on the home site. the trial is only free for 30 days, and that's about all I needed. |
