a warning to you 64 bit amd'ers
when i installed my 3500+ amd 64 (winchester core) the bios detected it wrong and set the voltage to 1.6 volts, instead of 1.4 volts like it should have.
it was on an a8n-sli board. check your voltages if you have an amd64, the winchester core (90nm) should be 1.4 volts, the clawhammer and the newcastle are both 1.5 volts. if it is detecting it wrong, adjusted it manualy to the normal voltage. ~dil |
Not good. What BIOS version?

1.001
there is a beta out for the next but im not jumping on the band wagon till its been out a week or 2 |
Have a look at the NForcersHQ forums, as that's where you'll find the most discussion about new software, firmware, and hardware releases that are related to the NForce platform. In general, you can get a good picture about a new BIOS within the first day or so, because there are lots of willing guinea pigs willing to fry their board for the latest and greatest, and then share their experience.
