Access Denied on my documents, win xp

recently i moved my c: drive over to my other computer, where i took ownership of everything in c:\documents and settings\c mizzle\. once i moved the drive back to my own computer, and took back ownership and set access to "full control", i began getting "access denied" errors.

i can see the directory structure as well as all contents, however i cannot read or write to files already existing in that structure unless i select them specifically and add myself to the permissions list.

the other computer's user ID is still in the permissions list for all files inside of c:\documents and settings\c mizzle\ , but not the folders.

i was wondering if there was any way to put all the permissions back to me (c mizzle, of course)...i already re-took ownership and selected all the folders and made their permissions to me...but it seems the files ignored that step.

this is why it's very weird, because all the folders seem to have the proper permissions, but the files existing in these folders have not inherited their permissions and remain to only grant access to the other computer. i am able to change this but don't want to go through the process for every single file in \documents and settings\c mizzle\

help!

I solved the problem. Turns out that checkbox labeled "replace permission entries on all child objects with entries shown here that apply to child objects" is the checkbox I was looking for. I guess this can be deleted, or kept for safe keeping, or whatever. Thanks :P
