Question about iPOD and mp3 players

I searched some threads about iPODs and mp3 players, but didn't really find a definitive answer. I was wondering, can I somehow covert songs from a CD to my computer, than add them to an iPOD or mp3 player? I have a CD burner, but if this were even possible, I would imagine that you need some additional software/hardware. Anybody have any insight into this?

I'm assuming you are using some kkind of Windows OS. Just open up Windows Media Player, put in the CD, and press the rip tab. Then press Rip music, and your done. I always thought this was common knowladge, and now know why people thought I was weird for buying CDs when I have a mp3 player.

The answer is yes - After buying an iPod, I slapped all of my CDs onto my computer and onto my iPod via the program iTunes that came with the Pod.

I'm still in the process of putting everything on to my computer and then my creative zen, just wished i had USB 2.0. Ohwell nearly there. The answer to your question is yes whatever OS you're working with.
