Hey all.

I have an Olympus D380 digital camera. Just recently out of the blue it stopped working. Never been dropped, nor dropped IN to anything either. Has new batteries in it. Batteries work in other electronics, so that's not the issue.

The damn thing just won't turn on anymore, and I can't take any pictures

This saddens me because I'm a little bit of an amateur photographer, and I need my camera!

I discovered this yesterday when I went to a park here in FL and brought my camera along to take some pics.

I've had this camera for a couple years roughly, but I don't think that it would be dying already, right?

Any ideas/suggestions? I don't have the money to pay to have it looked at and fixed

Couldn't you just take it to a camera shop and have them look at it. Don't they usually take a look at it for free and then hit you with the big "ok, here's the problem and it'll cost the price of three of these brand new cameras to fix it"? At least you could figure out what's wrong with it that way. Is it under warranty still? Prolly not since the warranty for cameras usually aren't very long.
