help with forte free agent
 

I am having some trouble with the popular newsreader, forte free agent.

The problem is in viewing picture files. I click on a file, wait for it to download, the get the square with the 'x' in it thing. Any text is displayed, but the picture does not come up.

I have no trouble connecting to my newserver, no trouble with accessing groups, or anything like that. That's what makes it so frustrating - I get right up to where I can view the attachment and can't do it.

I looked at the Forte free agent FAQ. It wasn't much of help, focusing on advanced things.

Let me know if you can help.

I could never figure out why that program is so popular, Ive never had any problems with outlook express for windows and netscape for linux. Both have always done the job with no problems. Are these regular jpgs/gifs that you are trying to get? Or do you also need a Yenc decoder?

Yeah that does sound like a Yenc Problem... Do you have the latest Free Agent With Built in Yenc Decoder...
