Exporting an AOL buddy list

Hey,

One of my friends is finally getting rid of AOL as her isp and moved onto broadband...However, as a result of cancelling your aol account, you can no longer use that screen_name, even on AIM.
[reason #33 why AOL is evil.]
So, she asked me how to export her buddy list on her AOL screen name so she doesn't have to retype of the names in all over again when she gets AIM [i'll recommend trillian to her though ]

A quick google search didn't reveal of any feasible way to export them. Does anyone have ideas/programs to do this ?

Thanks,
keyshawn.

Did you see this article from PCWorld about exporting lists from AIM3? Then perhaps you just access the file, change the data to point to the new screen name, and you're set. Or use the importing tool that comes with your new IM program. I don't use AIM so it's just a wild guess.
