GRRRR WIN XP Home Edition
Hi,
Recently my computer has been starting up showing the "checking disk integrety" screen as if i had crashed the computer, but i hadn't. Also, after it was done checking and when it was done booting, it would tell me that "a critical error has occured in windows" and would give me a log file, but i can't find the log file. I tried doing a system restore, but it would always end up as "incomplete system restore" GRRRR, what's going on? and how do i fix it? Thanks in advance. ps. i just recently got an ipod that was mac, had trouble formating it, but in the end formatted it to windows, does that have anything to do with it? when i first plugged in my ipod, it caused win xp to crash.

Did you install the driver for your iPod? Seems to me that it isn't initializing properly and the PNP hasn't configured your system to your new toy.
Try reinstalling the iPod software and let your Windows find it.

Pepe are you keeping up to date on your patches/fixes/service packs? I had a similar situation where every time my system booted up it reported that I had recovered from blah blah blah. It turns out that it was a known issue, I applied the patch and it went away.
You could also try to perform a system restore prior to installing the iPOD.
