Firefox users, has this been posted yet?
So i found this bit o' info on another forum.
1) Type "about:config" into the address bar and press enter. Look for these entries: network.http.pipelining network.http.proxy.pipelining network.http.pipelining.maxrequests 2) change them like this: Set "network.http.pipelining" to "true" Set "network.http.proxy.pipelining" to "true" Set "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" to 30 3) Finally, right-click anywhere and select New integer. Name it "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set it to 0. Your Mozilla browser will now run 30 times as fast! Im not sure firefox is running 30 times faster, But it is a definate improvement. Enjoy |

I'm sure there's at least one other place on TFP where this is talked about. |
do thorough searches please.
Oh, and please read that other thread as well. There are good reasons to NOT change those settings. |
