motherbord issues possibly..

k world of warcraft on my old emachine runs fine however.. with the new system

amd sempron 2600+ 333mhz proc
geforce fx 5200 128mb agp tv out
and 1.5 gb of (x3 512) ddr ram

it crashes due to a texture error when going into the big cities in the game..

the store owners told me when putting in the 3rd stick of ram to go into bios and chage the

host clock to 166mhz from 100mhz
and the dram clock to 166mhz from 133mhz

agp aperture size is set at 64mb by default.. do i up this to 128 mb due to the 128 mb of ram sitting on the vid card?

funny thing is to even install the card i had to take two sticks out cuz i was getting an error with the disks but didnt on my old puter.. seeing how i fear'd it was the ram i did tests on it and they came out clean.. the cpu, heat sink and fan are fine..

the vid card had a heat sink but no fan didnt come with one.. and the hard drive is bearly warm after hours of use..

still i get this texture error.. im guessing its just a setting somewhere between the game and my system.. but tons of peps are getting these errors from "home made" systems.

any suggestions on the above setting will be helpful and ill provide what other info upon request..

thanks

AGP aperature size is a function of your total system memory, not your video card's RAM. With 1.5 Gigs of system memory you'd want to run your AGP aperature at either 256 or 512.
