Can someone tell me how they did this - Tilted Forum Project Discussion Community

I use the following search engine (just cause I like it)

And I noticed today that no matter what I was searching for, the Red Cross's Tsunami relief page always came back on the first sheet of results. I tried everything to see if it wouldn't get listed (the search for "kielbasa and anal warts" even returned it). Assuming the first page returns the sites with the most relevant data, how the hell is the red cross doing this?

I know that porn sites often bury key words so that their sites will be found on a search, but how is the red cross doing this with virtually the entire (hell for all I know the entire) dictionary.

Just curious, because I have never seen this before.

Well, that "green pin" matches with the right-hand column, where they are identified as a "sponsor". Looks pretty non-mysterious to me.

If that wasn't clear, Redlemon means that either 1) The red cross paid the search engine to have it come up first all the time, or more likely 2) The search engine is doing its part in helping by just having the site come up at the top of any search.

I didn't even notice the sponsor notification in the right hand corner as I wasn't running the window full screen. Makes sense. Move along (and thanks).....
