Nothing saving to "Temp Int Files" - help pls!
 

Can't find this problem in the archives so grateful for your help with the following...

I have Windows Me and find that internet files are no longer being saved into the "Temporary Internet Files" folder. There isn't that much in there (from before the problem) so I don't think it's a space issue. Having said this, when I work offline I can still look at pages I have visited, even though the files they contain aren't in the Temp Int Files folder. So my questions are:

i) Where is my computer saving the files that aren't in TIF folder but are clearly somewhere?

ii) How can I get my computer to start saving files in the TIF again?

c:\documents and settings\user\local settings\temporary internet files

Open browser, go to Tools-->Internet Options. Under the heading Temporary Internet Files, click on settings ---> Check how much storage you have, and also check to see that the path is as follows: c:\documents and settings\user\local settings\temporary internet files

If it's not, click on Move Folder to reflect the above path.

If that doesn't help, try reinstalling internet explorer as follows: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=318378
