Deleted file recovery
I have a whole bunch (~30 gigs) of data that was deleted. Ontrack's EasyRecovery Professional was recommended and I'm using version 6. I can recover the files, but the directory and file names won't be recovered (just numbered sequentially).
Also, this is on a RAID 0 volume formatted in NTFS (I'm testing Windows .NET and that's what I used to format the volume) and for some reason the program doesn't detect that it's a NTFS volume. On the other drives, the program does detect that they are NTFS volumes and the directory and file names can be recovered. Anyone have any experience with this program or suggestions or recommendations? I've left the volume alone since the files were deleted and haven't written anything onto the disk. |

To anyone else interested:
I fixed my own problem by manually selecting the filesystem. Since the RAID volume was striped, there were some unused sectors at the end of the volume so the program didn't automatially detect the file system. So manually select by using Advanced Recovery and Advanced options Filesystem tab. |
