problems with speed when making animated gifs
I've been trying to make an animated gif and the speed is always too slow in IE and explorer (the file browser) but it's just fine in firefox. I've tried using 3 different programs (Ulead Gif Animator 5, Coffeecup 7, and Gif Movie Gear) and they all resulted in the same thing...well except the ulead one was better optimized than the rest, but they all went the same slow speed in IE and explorer and went fine in firefox.
So, is there anyway to fix it for IE? in case it helps, I'm using winXP with all updates except SP2. I had my roommate try it on his system with win2000 and it did the same thing.

Are you using any browser-specific optimizations? I know Animation Shop 3 has that feature. Perhaps it's on by default. Have you tried adjusting the frame speed at all or have you left it at the default created speed?

I'm thinking that internet explorer can't play gif's any faster than 10/100th's of a second per frame. Mine needs to be 3/100th's of a second. I've been trying tons more stuff and I simply can't get any gif that any program makes to play faster than that in IE (although they always work fine in firefox).
Unless someone can confirm that internet explorer has this limitation, I have to something to ask of you all. If it wouldn't be too much to ask, I'd like some other people to try to make a gif with frame delay of about 3/100th's of a second and see if it plays that fast in IE. And of course post if it worked or not. Thanks to anyone who trys.
