Annoying Little Problem
I recently got a new scanner and while trying to position 3x5 prints to be scanned they tend to slip all over the glass and won't stay in a straight position. Anyone know of a way to keep them positioned?

This may seem a little "low tech", but how about scotch tape?

Usually it's not suppose to move, are you placing the photo in the middle of the scanner?
If you are you should place it against the edge where the left edge meets the top edge. If that's not the case, if you have photoshop, you can use the ruler tool, to align your image. |
you can always crop the photo after if you own photoshop.

I had to do that a few years ago for several hundred pictures. The pictures liked to squirm around, especially those with any warping. Ended up making a couple picture holders from white construction paper. One had a 3x5 hole, another for 5x8. Secured them to the scanner bed with tape. Place a picture in the hole, slide a book over it, hit the scan button. It went much faster than holding things while lowering the scanner top.

Thought abt scotch tape, but I so a lot of different formats which would leave a lot of goop on the glass. I am attempting to align them against the edges but they still seem to move. I didn't have this problem with the other scanner. This is one of those all in ones machines and the glass actually seems curved. Guess I will try the cardboard picture holders.
