I'm trying to install quake 3 and I get this error
 

the error says

16 bit Windows Subsystem

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The System file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'close' to terminate the application.

I don't know what the hell this means so if any of you could explain it to me and tell me how I can fix it if possible. Bare in mind I'm not too slick when it comes to computers so put it in lamens terms if possible.

Did you try to Google it? I did and found some stuff that might help you. I'm also not being sarcastic by telling you to Google it, just a hint if you hadn't done that already.
