I just installed something called "Glass2k" today which allows you to make any window transparent. It's pretty nice, but is not very consistent, unfortunately. :( He's an SS of my desktop with some nifty transparent windows, and a custom hack of a WoW wallpaper: (click to view the 1600x1200 ver)

I've been looking around for some addons to MSN Messenger for a little while now.

And I heard that Glass2K slowed down the computer drastically - have you had the same experience?

Yeah, I just removed it because it's proven to be unbearable :( It was fun while it lasted though ~
