Messenger/Trillian Question
Greetings Everyone,
I am perplexed. My MSN Messenger (6.2?) kept signing in for some reason. It was rather annoying. Thinking it was a MS application there must be a problem with it I decided to try something else. Trillian seemed to be the answer but it keeps signing in too. What I am saying is that without pattern or randomly I get the pop from MSN/Trillian that I have 3 Messages. What would make these IM programs keep disconnecting then reconnecting? What gives? Can anyone help or does anyone have any ideas? Much appreciated. Thanks

Do you have this problem with AIM, Yahoo or any other IM network, or is it just MSN? Do you ever get a "connection dropped" message on your internet connection? Are you on dial-up or broadband? If you're on broadband, is it WiFi or wired?
I'm no MSN expert by any means (as I've never used it) but it sounds a little more like a connection problem than a problem with the MSN network. If you're not having this problem with any other network, though, I'll have to pass the problem on to some other helpful soul as my MSN knowledge is about the same as my knowledge of quantum physics.

Damn, I think you right Herr glytch. I just got home from Christmas vacation and it is taking much longer for sites to respond and sometimes it tells me the certain site (like TFP) cannot be reached but reclick the link it and everything works fine. I guess there is something wrong with my connection. I have broadband (Comcast Cable) but I am connected wirelessly (not Wi-Fi). I cannot imagine what has changed between when I left home and came back could be. I must research because this is getting annoying. Thanks for the help glytch.
