Free you iTunes music

The purpose of hymn is to allow you to exercise your fair-use rights under copyright law. It allows you to free your iTunes Music Store (protected AAC / m4p) purchases from their DRM restrictions with no sound quality loss. These songs can then be played outside of the iTunes environment, even on operating systems not supported by iTunes.

well one of my big complaints about the iTunes store has been taken care of...

Awesome, this is something I really could use.

I had such a nightmare when I was trying to listen to my purchased songs from napster on another computer. I practically had to waste a cd to just to burn two songs, because the napster software wasn't working correctly.

Program worked fine for me, and I'm on a Mac...the only thing I haven't yet figured out is how to directly convert (using this program) from protected AAC to MP3 (instead of normal AAC)...

You have to remember, Apple's hands are pretty much tied in this regard. Otherwise, I'm willing to bet that not one single label would let them carry their music.

Major Labels anyway. EMusic.com carries plain old mp3 files. But they also only deal with independant labels.

It is too bad the major labels waste money on stupid anti-piracy crap, when they could be lowering the prices of their music.
