Hi, just wondering if anyone out there know if what Jason Bourne did on the show is at all possible - ie. copying the SIM card on another mobile and being able to hear and receive calls or text messages from that phone? If so, how?

Probably not. The SIM card makes a "handshake" to the network when it accesses the network. I would think that it wouldn't happen.

Maybe you could contact the CIA and ask them. I am sure it is possible but probably not to a typical consumer.

I put the same question to a Mobile Phone forum from UK and a few guys said it was possible. Altho I must say I agree with brandon11983 that logically only one sim card can be on the network at any one time.

Well, soccerchamp76, if i have to check with the CIA then i'm sure this Sim Cloning/copying thing must be illegal...

If you want to spy on a conversation, I would guess you could do it with a receiver and a computer set up for the job.

I would think it is possible, I mean lines were able to get crossed on the older analog phones, but that was completely different technology. I don't see why it couldn't be done now...

SIMCARD8 is a preprogrammed simcard that allow to store or make a backup of 8 different mobile phone sim cards in only 1 simcard. You will need to know IMSI and Ki codes of every simcard that you want to make backup. IMSI and Ki codes are the codes that identify a simcard at your network provider, this codes are encrypted at your original simcard, to find out your will need our SIM-SCAN card reader/writer.
