Sidekick 2
Usually I don't need to create new threads, since any question I need to ask has already been answered. But I tried to search for T-Mobile's Sidekick 2, and only found a few threads on the original Sidekick.
So does anyone have any experience with this device? I'm going to go to the local T-Mobile store to try to play with one before I decide to get it. But the main thing I want to know is how well it syncs up with Outlook. For those who don't know about this phone, basically it's a cell phone with a full QWERTY keyboard, a VGA camera, organizer, speakerphone, and a nice 65k color LCD. One of the reviews I read said it is about the same size as a Hershey's chocolate bar, which is pretty big for a phone I guess. This is the first time I'm looking into a phone for my self, before I've just been given a phone by my Dad when I lived with my parents, and through my company after I moved out. I'm still shopping around and trying to find other phones with similar features, so suggestions would be appreciated. Apparently Amazon has a $200 rebate in addition to a $50 rebate from T-Mobile. FYI my current phone is through my company, and the contract ends in March. The model is LG VX10 and its through Verizon. It's not a very good phone, and the plan is shit. We communicate primarily with text messages, which, according to Accounting, cost 5 cents per character to send or recieve... and I have to pay for it. Not so good... so I end up with $60 to 75 a month for mostly work related communication. The T-Mobile plan I'm looking at is the 600 minutes, Unlimited nights and weekend for $39.99 plus the $20 for Unlimited data (including text messaging!). |
