Backing up Firefox bookmarks

I know I can export my Firefox bookmarks to an .html file, but I use a backup program each night to copy files and folders to an external drive. Where does Firefox store them?

Documents and Settings/[username]/Application Data(hidden)/mozilla/firefox
linux it would be
/home/name/.mozilla/firefox
or for x.5-x.8?
/home/name/.pheonix (I put this in in memory of pheonix browser....before the 1st name change.....)

In your Profile folder. Where that is located depends on your OS. Look here to find out where. And, the bookmarks.html file is already in .html format; 'exporting' simply makes a copy.

Open Mozilla Firefox Browser goto Bookmarks ---> Scroll down to Manage Bookmarks--->Then go to File ---> Export. Give it a save name, then click save.

Then to import them back in follow the same instructions as above, but instead going to Export, select Import.
