laptop
I have 1200$$ to spend on a laptop. Im gonna use it for Traveling bak and forth from school and doing school work and surfing the web etc. Not realy gaming on it at all.

If you dont intend to use it for gaming - then get something that puts more emphasis on battery life and mobility - something light and sturdy. I don't really know which manufacturers are the best for laptops - I'd recommend IBM simply because they make the most sturdy laptops out there besides the panasonic toughbooks which are way too expensive.

IBM is getting out of the computer business...They have made really great notebooks in the past. Make sure you get a laptop with builtin wireless and is lightweight. Those are 2 things i wish I hadn't passed up with mine.
One more thing. DON'T go HP. I got a ze5155 model a few years back and it has been nothing but trouble, it is actually getting serviced right now by best buy. I also recommend buying an extended warrenty if at all possible. They're great. ~Zach |
Fujitsu makes some great little laptops with high battery life. Or you can go with an apple, very high build quality and the ibooks are abouyt as sturdy as anything i've ever seen.

some of u laptop users tell me how much should the screen size play in? i see laptops with 17" screens and i see some that only have 13" screen. Some of u guys who use laptops on a regular basis tell me what you think about screen size? cuz i know on my desktop i cant deal with anything less than a 17" monitor.
