Motorola Razr V3
SO I finally caved in and bought a Motorola Razr V3. ITS SUCH AN AWESOME PHONE. I have already had it one night and I am like damn money well spent. I used to have a Nokia 3650 before this that has recently started lacking in the reception department. The new phone definetly fixes that problem, as well as adds a beautiful "sound system" and display to the mix.

I paid 530 for the UK version, so I see it as a better deal than the cingular version, and AngelicVampire, check out www.howardforums.com to remove network branding from the phone, they have helpful tutorials. I think its worth it, but I will only be able to comment on it after I have used it for another week.

Where you live? i want to come over and stea... umm i mean borrow your phone.
it seems that it will work on any network provided you provide the phone, and after searching cingular is the only services offering it with a new account set up but still running 499.99 with a 2 year contract. Too bad its missing the direct connect that is nextel's best feature.

i quite like the look of all the new funky nokia phones...although some of them look like they'd be really difficult to text on!

For all your future mobile goodness. I was waiting for the Motorola MPx to replace my mpx200 smartphone, but to be honest, I use half the features on my phone. I want to leave work at work. I only want a slimline phone with tri/quad band for travel and a good battery life. That's all one needs really. |

I saw one of those a few weeks ago at a Cingular store. It's just a cell phone. Granted it's an attractive, well-built cell phone with a lot of features, but it's not the mind-blowing work of art that everyone hypes it up to be.
I like my little Sony Ericsson that has a color screen, goes forever on a charge, and was free with my service plan. |

It is a good design. It has also been designed without cost in mind. The height of luxury.
I am so suprised that many consumers seem to be stretching their expenses to pick them up. This is not critism, I just find that for myself functionality before design when majors costs are involved takes presedence. |

V3 is so overrated
The phone is wide, it's not as light as it seems. In Malaysia it's the most expensive phone at RM2,700. I'd rather get a Sony Ericsson S700i if you'd ask me. 1.3MP camera on that phone But of course, if you already have the v3, you get loadsa attention with the phone :P Cousin has it, wouldn't mind having it, but would rather an Ericsson s700 |
