Digital camera + telescope?
This is an idea thats interested me for a while...but I've only recently invested in a digital camera (4 mp cybershot). I know theres fairly pro telescope/camera jobies out there, but my question is..how sucessful would one be if they attempted this with consumer grade stuff?
Would be good for events... (planets closer than usual, comets etc) |
it's possible, but its much easier to do with more expensive stuff. i'm not sure if your sony will allow a t-mount adapter, but if you can get that on, you can pretty much hook it up with a telescope

As always, Google is your friend. serach for "telescope camera adaptor" or "astrophotography". Before purchasing a telescope, figure out what type of scope you need. For instance, a Dobsonian scope is great for astronomical items, while a Cassegrain will be able to do that, plus terrestrial objects as well. You can read more about these at http://www.telescope.com, which is the website for Orion telescopes.

Do you mean a two in one, like the digital cameras built in to some binoculars?
