sounds from IE
 

I like to listen to music while I surf, I usually listen through my stereo so I get get some good volumes on my mp3..etc. Well there is nothing more annoying than the sounds that come from adverts and such from websites blasting out of my stereo. Not really pop ups but the sounds that come from imbedded ads that are not pop ups that are all over sites online. Or when programs write midi files into there sites when they load. Is there anyway to stop all sounds from playing in IE, i've went through all the settings but know of any other way of elimating this effing sites from playing sounds??? :crazy:

In IE6/SP1a, I have this option in Advanced:

Multimedia // Play sounds in web pages.

Is it checked?

As for flash ads, I can only recommend uninstalling the flash plugin, unless there is something like Flashbock for IE (Flashblock is an extension for Firefox).
