Renaming all files in folder

i used WinHTTrack to download a webpage with a ton of pictures that i wanted. for some reason it saved them all as html files. when i rename them to jpg they work fine, but there are too many to do them one at a time. so i am wondering if there is a way to rename all the files in the folder, or change all the file extensions in a folder.
here is the web page, so you can understand why i cant rename them one at a time. http://www.image-dump.com/browse.php?y=1&x=1
thanks for any advice that i get.

Try CKRename from ComponentSoftware. It's free, feature rich and very powerful.

http://www.musicsucks.com/CKSoft/index.htm

This is my tool of choice and has bene for several years.

You sure?

RENAME(1) Linux Programmer's Manual RENAME(1)

NAME
rename - Rename files

SYNOPSIS
rename from to file...

DESCRIPTION
rename will rename the specified files by replacing the first occur-
rence of from in their name by to.

For example, given the files foo1, ..., foo9, foo10, ..., foo278, the
commands

rename foo foo0 foo?
rename foo foo0 foo??

will turn them into foo001, ..., foo009, foo010, ..., foo278.

And
rename .htm .html *.htm

will fix the extension of your html files.

In XP, you should be able to just highlight all of them, rename one and the rest will follow.

pic.html -> pic (x).jpg

It works for me at least.
